Looking to learn what type of events each community allows at their club house/amenity center? Do you allow events for example where residents buy something? For example a community craft fair, or a craft person coming in, selling the item you wish to make, showing you how to make it and you leave with it. The presenters payment is in the form of their markup of items purchased. Or would you pay them for their services on top of selling the craft to be made. Would you allow a member to hold a tupperware party if the rent the facility? How about holding a fundraiser of some type. We are looking to expand what we currently allow and would like your assistance please. Thank you!

Lakes of Lockwood allows any property owner to reserve/use the clubhouse. We do not screen what purpose they are reserving it for, however it is usually for a family gathering. Some members hold civic organization meetings there, as they are participating members. We would not oppose it being used for Tupperware parties or similar events.

The Winding River board passed a resolution in 2024 for an annual “makers market” or “artisan fair” where community residents could sell the items they make. Fundraising interest groups are permitted to use the facility once per year for an event exclusive to the community. Groups may pay to rent the facility for any additional events that raise funds, but again, it must be exclusive to community members and all events must comply with the governing documents.
