Devaun Park has had community volunteers assist in minor construction, electrical or plumbing repairs and projects.  I am not aware of any circumstances where this assistance has been used when a license or permit is required by law.

Devaun Park Golf Cart and Low Speed Vehicle Rules 1. Golf carts and other LSVs (as defined by the North Carolina Department of Transportation) may be operated in Devaun Park by persons having a legal drivers license. St. James does not use an outside architect to review home build plants or modifications.

St. James charges $3000 for new builds.

St. James has used Community Association Services (CAS) for many years. About two years ago, CAS was acquired by a firm from Sweden called Odevo. Odevo has aggressively acquired numerous community association management companies as their business model, including others in NC. Since then, personnel changes and staffing have led to some unsatisfactory service functions. (more)

Sandpiper Bay does not have a single person in the position of Facilities Manager.  We have a facilities committee that oversees all property issues and reports directly to the board.

Function will probably precede form. The website should focus on the current and future challenges and events. Educate the users about the issues and events that impact them and their communities. Sandpiper Bay Community Wide Yard Sales, single day events, are allowed at a predetermined site, e.g., Residents’ Center on a regular basis, typically annually.
